SCIENCE CENTRE TRIP - SUNDAY 21 JANUARY 2024
Its a brand new year and the first club of the year is here!! Its SAMs club and what a way to welcome a new year of clubs than a trip to the Glasgow Science Centre. This is the third year that SAMs has organised an afternoon to the Science Centre and with good reason seen as how it is always a great day out! Parents and family’s were able to drop their kids off in the supervision of SAMs volunteers for the afternoon but they also had the option to come along and enjoy the fun too which many of them did!
The Science Centre features three floors of interactive exhibits and activities all to make kids learn new things about the world of science. Some of the things on offer included mini challenges and interesting displays for the kids to take part in and explore. As well as the Science Centre area, the kids also had access to the Planetarium. The Planetarium featured an interactive experience, guided by presenters through space and the galaxy, wow! Its fair to say most of us were mesmerized by this place, even the volunteers! The kids had a full two hours to enjoy everything the Science Centre had to offer. Its fair to say that wasn’t enough time to see everything so I think we will need to head back again next year.
Also included for all the kids were good bags with packed lunches provided by the Science Centre. All this exploring and learning certainly worked up an appetite so the food definitely came in handy!
